A
Missionary Heritage
'Source' has always had a strong association with Christian Missionary Societies.
In 1985 we help celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the New Zealand Baptist
Missionary Society with the musical 'For A Time Like This' . In 1990
the Overseas Missionary Fellowship, commissioned the musical 'Edge
Of Tomorrow' to help celebrate 125 years of ministry. This production has
since been presented over 150 times to more than 50,000 people in New Zealand,
Australia, Singapore and Canada. It is now available for the first time with Backing
Tracks from this Web Site! The latest production, 'Catch The Fire' has
been preformed since 1997 to celebrate 75 years of training at The Bible College
Of New Zealand. It tells the story of Joseph Kemp and what God did during
his ministry at Charlotte Chapel, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and at the Auckland
Baptist Tabernacle in New Zealand. By the end of this year there will have been
over 100 performances throughout New Zealand.
Easter
Passion Plays and Musicals
Over many years Source has presented numerous Easter productions. Long
before the organisation came into being, the founders of Source Theatre
celebrated Easter with drama and music. In 1974 a musical called 'Jesus'
began this long heritage. The latest Easter production is called 'Time
After Time' and will be available on this site with Backing Tracks later
this year.
