childrens drama is a great way of reaching out into the community and for growing creative people and ministries within the Church.

Toybox is a production for children of every age. It tells the story of a not so nice girl called Theresa and her collection of toys. Life is tough in Theresa's toybox, with no one sure of what tomorrow might bring. One day Clowny meets the Toymaker and things begin to change.

The story of Toybox is based on an allegory; with Theresa symbolising life, the toys representing people like us, and the Toymaker presenting a picture of Jesus.

Why Musicals?

For many years we have used these as a way of reaching out into the community with the Christian story and at the same time growing creative people and ministries within the church. They give children and adults an opportunity to develop skills, build self confidence and grow faith.

Churches and Christian Schools benefit because musicals encourage new friendships, foster team work and develop a ministry skill base - so important for seeker friendly services. Those involved don't all have to act and sing. It needs all kinds of people - for costumes, building a set, sound and lighting and others to promote the production within the community.
